5000 miles a year isn't that high for a Multistrada - you should be fine running it that distance every year. As long as you get them serviced regularly they seem to be fairly reliable.
There's a guy on here from Texas that has 90,000 miles on a 2006 model! |

+1 on that MiloVanmultistrada
I do around 6500 miles in all weathers per year and there's plenty on here who do a lot more without problems.
But servicing is important and with our climate I like to coat the electrics with a good quality weather treatment such as ACF50 or similar. |

Mine is at 34000, commuting in all weathers.
10000 miles in the first year, less since then. No problems, except losing some engine paint, but they all do that. Just as quick now as when new. |

Helloooo
bought my 2003 in Dec 08 with 7460 on the clock, now got about 35000.
25000 last year and still going strong, you will love it.
Rain snow and sun still keeps rolling on.

I roll 8-10k per year, and don't really consider that "high mileage", even though my riding season is normally 8 months.
Always ridden like I stole it - zero problems at 52k. |

I know there are tire threads to be found, but I am tired of chasing around looking for them...
So, who better to ask than those with lots of miles...
What are your fav tires?
I've been running the Michelin Pilot Road2's and they hold up pretty well - though this last pair is getting weird in short order so I'm wondering if I'm missing a better choice for treads and longevity?
Bought my 07 Multi "used" (if you can call it that) Feb 28 2008 with 208 miles on the odo; Up to 41, 270 Miles
Got to tap Zookiman for tips.

Hi Susan
I have run the michelin pilot road2's through several sets and they have never given me reason to loose trust or complain about the mileage, just out of interest what exactly is bugging you about them this time?
