I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2006 Multistrada 1000s DS, with only 750 miles, for approx. $11,800. Is this a great deal, good deal, or what? Thanks for your advice. |

Not a great deal unless it has some expensive options like a full exhaust system, hard saddlebags, etc. Not too long ago there was a $2000 factory discount on all MTSs, meaning you could one brand new from a lot of dealers for what you are about to pay for a used bike. It does not matter if the bike has very few miles--it is a used bike and I have seen WAY better deals here. Look at some of the posts in the marketplace forum and you'll see what I mean. By the way, the bikes in the pictures are not Multistradas. Just in case someone was really pulling a fast one on you. |

Actually, that's my wife's bike (black and chrome) and my bike. |

Those V-rods are very nice. If you pick up a Multi you will find a big difference. Not as quick but you won't have to slow down for the corners anymore. Good luck. You have good taste in bikes !! |

Not a great deal but the Multi would be a great complement to your H-D's. |

Thanks for the compliments. Like I tell my wife, "You can have all the shoes you want. I only want a few bikes!" |

For what it's worth: the Winter NADA book has the '06 1000s at $12,055 average reatil, but it sounds like you can do better... |

Actually, the 2006 and older models are 1000s. If you are looking for an 1100 it will be a 2007, and not many used ones have shown up yet since they all are so new. |

Just to give you a pricing average...
I bought an '04 1000DS with 17K miles for 6500.
It came with a givi monokey rear luggage box and the bike was immaculate. |
