I everyone. I live in the SF Bay area of California. I'm trying to decide between a BMW GS and a Multi. It's frustrating that I can't get a reasonable demo on the DUC, like I can on the GS. The info at this site, though is helpful.

Have you tried Munroe Motors on Valencia in SF? Also, if you ever get down to LA, give Pro Italia in Glendale a try. Good luck!

I did try Munroe motors, they have a demo, but only allow a short ride in the streets of San Francisco. Hardley a test for a MTS.

It's too bad you can't get a decient demo ride. I was lucky in attending my very first Club Desmo rally in Greenville, TN.
Ducati had a semi full of demo Multistradas and after photo copying my drivers license, they threw me the keys and said be back in an hour!
My buddy and I went out on some twisty rural twisty mountain roads and really flogged the bikes. It took some time for me to acclimate to the looks of the MTS, but remembering how well it handled, and how quickly I felt comfortable on the bike, sold me.
The GS is also a great bike, I haven't riddin on yet, I'm sure I'd be happy on either, but found a gread deal on an almost new MTS and got it.

You can get a good demo ride in Modesto California. The dealer is Modesto Ducati - ask for Dianna. Its about an hour and a half from SF, but there are plenty of open roads to test the multi on. In fact, if you let me know, I'll meet you at the dealer and take you on a little tour of some of the best roads in the valley.
