maybe. i know when i tried to sell my 2000 monster 900 ie in 2003/4, it took 9 months, and i sold it for less than wholesale even though it was low mileage and pristine. i had a number of interested lookers, who did go on to buy bikes after looking at mine. most of them bought the newer version monsters with the liquid cooled more powerful engine. they paid much much more for a used newer version of the monster. the price of my monster was down in the $4500-5000, and these guys were paying over $7K for used monsters with liquid cooling.
