Both are great bikes, indeed.
The 1100 has more torque, the 1000 is probably the better sports engine as IMO it revs quicker.
Go for an S, if possible.
Colours ... black is always faster, but as you know: Colours doesn't matter.

The price seems quiet high to me for this amount of km, but I have to admit:
The bike is well equiped, and 6month of guarantee ... this is quiet well.
And all Multis are good for more then 100k Miles.

The S-Model is not a great changer.
The comfort is adjustable, and if you go for bad roads, the adjustable ride high is a big plus.
At the negative side are:
- less transparency if you run fast or at tracks
- the Oehlins makes only sense with the add-on box available to provide a ride ...

the seat is not the issue with regard to the comfort.

Take the Multi.
If I bike isn't fun, it doesn't make any sense to ride it.
And "Frau Strom", as we call this the Suzuki here in the German talking part, isn't fun at all.

So: The Multi is the right choice. And you have so many electronical gizmos to save you ...

It's mostly the 100 extra ccm, the 2 additional horsepowers (which you can't feel, fastfaz), the 20Nm extra-torque (which you can feel), the frame improvement (on which I never had any issue with the 2 2004-MTS I've ...

Non of them: Handguards first.
I suggest the ones from the 1200 Multi (can be put on the 1000/1100 MTS as well) and the mirror problem get's solved with it.
Or you go for any aftermarket handguards.
