I do agree with most of it. My wife joined me for the first time on a bike in her life to the 4th EMM in the Pyrenees. We did about 4.500km in 9 days and she hopped on with a smile on her face and got off in the end with a smile in her face....
The only thing I had to do is to set the ...

Re: WTB: Gear Shift Pedal
Wiley,
sorry to hear about your ankle.... but that is a part of the risk...
I think it doesn't matter what shift pedal you buy or install. Last year I had a crash somewhere in the Italien mountains. I went to the Ducati dealer in Carrara and they only had a shift pedal of a MTS620... That went on ...

+1...!!Also, that beautiful clatter that distinguishes the Duc from others, some don't care for it, but I love it.

Re: Multi or ST3?
Knox,
This is a tough call... I can imagine... (it hasen't been for me). I came from a Ducati 748R which I loved but realized that this sport bike is best suitable for the race track. In the current situation on the road with traffic lights, round abouts, sunday (f*ckin') drivers, speed bumps ...

Re: Sport Bike to Multistrada
He there Wayward,
As a long time dirt bike rider, I usually wear a kidney belt when I ride just out of force of habit. When I don't wear it, I can definately feel the difference in my lower back after a long ride. I have been thinking about getting an armored back protector to replace the kidney ...

Re: Sport Bike to Multistrada
He there jokawood and Tee-Dub,
I hear the remarks about the lower back.
On the Multi with an upright seating position, all the weight is now placed on your lower back. Something to consider if you have back problems, like most homo sapiens over the age of 30.
To prevent this, I always ride with ...

Re: I have to make my decision SOON. New 620/Used 1000DS
He there Joe,
I guess that you are not to tall since you talk about lowering the bike..?? If I were you coming from a V11 Guzzi, I would go for the MTS1000DS. It seems the bike is already mucked up nicely and with not so many miles. Of course you should check the overall status of the bike before ...

Re: Monster 1000 or Multistrada 1000
He there Frederic,
You have to think what kind or riding you want to do. I have made a similar kind of decision last year when I had my 748R and did a test ride on the MTS1000DS. I liked the 748R very much but I realized that I wanted to do more mountain trips. Roads you don't want to be confronted ...

Re: Not so sure about my S4R........
Oh lord, I read this story and think that the higher the number of bikes the better. But there is always a point of return. I had three bikes. 900SS (street), 748R (street) and 748S for the track. Insurance and riding cost started to become a pain in the neck. Then I rode the MTS in Italy during the ...
