I have an 04 dry clutch, and I've driven a friends 07 wet. Plus: The dry has a wicked sound and very easy maintenance. Minus: Wet is smoother and less prone to grinding.

I do a lot of commuting in Toronto, and my '04 1000 multi is my main summer transport. The dry clutch mentioned here took some getting used to, as did the twitchy-ness of the throttle. It still prefers the open road, but no complaints anymore. The lightness of the bike makes it better in the city ...

A co-worker is oggling my new mts, and is thinking of joining the club. The problem is that he's a new driver, and I suspect the 1000/1100 would be too much for him to start on. Any thoughts on the 620 for a new driver? The specs look a little more tame, and the lighter weight would also ...

Just bought an 04 1000 - low km as well, and I can vouch that they keep their value. If you like the triumph triples, you can get a Tiger probably newer and cheaper. I was torn between my 04 multi and an 08 Tiger. Both had less than 1000km and the Tiger was only 1500 CDN more.
