Yes, the ZG touring is my backup plan. However, repairs on the DP have gone well so it looks like I'll be able to enjoy it for awhile yet. Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the link. I didn't find anything on the site that would work however. I'm going to try to repair the DP shield. It just has stress fractures around the mounting points. I have the stock shield assembly if that doesn't work.
