I've had both and the 1100 is the better bike. In principal I hated wet clutches but honestly I never gave it much thought after about 4 minutes. I do enjoy the quiet that comes with wet clutch + stock exhaust. If I want to make noise I've got three other bikes with full system upgrades.

I'm almost the same size/height as you. I swapped my standard bars for Renthal's which are swept back further and slightly lower. They are more comfortable and you don't need to lean forward.
I have a gel seat and have also bought an Alaskan Leather sheepskin cover for the seat which has made a big ...

Bikes I thought I wanted before I got the Multi: K1200GT and RSV Mille.
Clearly, as someone who'd never ridden before, I didn't know much about what would be appropriate. A salesman suggested the Multi. I never would have selected it from just walking around the showroom, so I've a newfound respect ...
