Re: 1000 dry clutch vs 11000 wet clutch
I've had both and the 1100 is the better bike. In principal I hated wet clutches but honestly I never gave it much thought after about 4 minutes. I do enjoy the quiet that comes with wet clutch + stock exhaust. If I want to make noise I've got three other bikes with full system upgrades.

Re: Riding position
I'm almost the same size/height as you. I swapped my standard bars for Renthal's which are swept back further and slightly lower. They are more comfortable and you don't need to lean forward.

Re: What other bike did you look at when you bought your Multi?
Bikes I thought I wanted before I got the Multi: K1200GT and RSV Mille.
Clearly, as someone who'd never ridden before, I didn't know much about what would be appropriate. A salesman suggested the Multi. I never would have selected it from just walking around the showroom, so I've a newfound respect ...

Agreed, the tool kit supplied is poor, you're better off making your own up.Rww wrote:Except for the spark plug tool the rest is lame. Go to a auto parts store, I like NAPA, make up a set. Look for tools with changeable bits and will work with other tools....you'll be better off.

Swap my Red 04 749S for Multistrada
Due to arthritis, I need to get myself a more upright bike. I test rode the MS yesterday and loved it. So if any of you out there in the UK fancy a very sorted 749S, let me know. I can be contacted at steveallen@blueyonder.co.uk or 07967 372909.
