Hello to you all. I am not yet a Multistrada owner but could be shortly. I am looking at an 08 Multistrada S with under 1,000 miles from a private party. Red, hard side cases, performance chip, special exhaust (can't recall the name) -- perfect condition cosmetically and mechanically.
I am having a hard time determining the market value of this bike. Would you folks give me a price range that makes sense? No higher than... It's a steal at...
I have come to value the other Boards for the bikes I own (BMW R1200RT and Suzuki Wee) -- best advice from folks who know and love their bikes. How would you compare the Multi S with these bikes -- ride, performance, reliability, wrenchability?
Appreciate your thoughts.

With performance and luggage accessories and such low miles, I would say between 12 and 14 thousand. However, this economy has made people let go of things for far less than they are really worth.

My Dad used to ask me that all the time! I want to buy it for a price I can recover in case my wife happens to notice I now have 3 bikes instead of 2 and I have to sell one of them. 
Don't confuse all you know with all there is to know.
