Hi from socal . I've been trying to talk myself out of a 1000 mts for over 3 months now , with no sucess. After reading all I can find I would like to post these questions. 1) crankcases replaced because of paint chipping? just saw this posted and assumed it was for cosmetics and not mech. 2) S model fork seals and sliders How common are seals going bad prematurely , and how are the replacment sets lasting? ( someone suggested it is caused by poorly fitting sliders) 3) Do the rubber mouted bars help save the stock mirrors or should I plan on after market mirrors for the 07 also? 4) Anyone here with no problems ? (except valve guides, mirrors, gas gauges,side stands) 5) Looking at a used 04 low mile 1000 ds any adivce on what to check , look for?
