I'd think you're doing pretty good there. As others have said, I'd still see if I could get him to throw in some accessories too, or at least a discount on any you want.

If your not getting at least a 50% discount on acc. you can get them used here for much less than retail.

Dealer now says thats no taxes ! I said no and now considering a base 2010 while keeping an eye out for a good used deal .

No doubt that this is a buyers market. Maybe the first thing to think about is what bike will make you happy in 12-24 months time. No matter what you get you will be riding it for quite a while since a multi year old bike with lower mileage is still just that. It's not a virgin any more. Once you roll it out the door it's used. If you are serious about the 1200 then that's the bike to buy because you may well be unhappy with the mere 90 hp from the 1100, and the lack of traction control or ABS are sure to make you feel bad. Go for the gusto!
