Below 500 miles, so essentially unridden and bone stock.
Can anyone speak on the riding difference between this and an 07 or 08 1100s? I know the 05 is a dry clutch rather than wet, but I am more concerned with motor grunt as I am looking at this a 2 up tourer.
What would be a proper price?
Thanks,
Chuck

I have a 2005 'S'. I've ridden an 1100 S.

Mine has Arrow collectors but no other engine mods (well, I have the fuel trim set to richer than stock).

The two bikes were very similar. The 1100 has slightly more bottom end, but not much more than mine with the Arrows. I would expect the 1100 with different collectors to be even better.
The 1100 might be slightly smother, but maybe it was just the rubber mounted bars.
The 1100 also has a working fuel gauge.

Some have had low speed running problems with the 1100, possibly to do with the O2 sensor and keeping it too lean? I could be faked out (I think).

Either one would work great as a two-up bike.
I don't think there is all that much difference in bottom end power- some, but not like night and day.

Thanks Mark,
Do you (or anyone else onsite) know if Ducati made 49 state versions and California versions of their bikes. I am looking at two out of state bikes and as a CA resident don't want registration problems if I go for one of them. I know that MV Agustas are all 50 state models, but am not that familiar with Ducs.

My memory is that all of them were 50 state models
I'm not 100% positive on that, but thats what I remember.
Perhaps a call/email to Ducati NA would answer that for certain.

All ducati's sold in the states have CA emissions. Just most of us outside of CA remove the canister so if you buy a used bike outside of CA ask if they still have the evap canister if they removed it. If they don't it can be ordered like any other part.
