Hi all, I'm looking at buying an '06 1000S (Black, since these threads all suggest it's the faster color ). I'm actually planning on test riding one this afternoon, but I wanted to ask a few questions from you MTS pros if you don't mind helping out someone who has never touched a Duc before.
First, what kind of a price range would you consider a "fair deal" on a 1000S with 25k miles that looks to be in great shape? Sticker price on the one I'm looking at is 6800.
How can I tell if the gas tank has been or needs to be replaced?
Other than the tank, are there any other known issues I should be looking out for on this bike?
