Just do it and don't look back. I would recommend LT Syder's book on desmodue engines. Lots of good info there and it takes a lot of the fear out of doing your own valve adjustments and maintenance.

Is this a good buy?
I am looking at an 07 MTS 1100S model red. It is completely stock, just had its 7500 mile service and it has new tires front and rear. There is a small scuff on the left rear body work where it fell against a cement pillar but I understand that there isn't any damage to the bike or the bodywork ...

Multis can be slow sellers. Being an '05 and an 'S' does help that bike and the mods are nice. Still, I would think you should at least be able to barter in the 6K service and get down to around $8500.

Is this a good deal on an '05 MTS 1000 S?
5,300 miles, termi exhaust, ECU and airbox, CRG, levers, DP side panniers and top box, + DP steering stabilizer all on new tires. $9,000? I am looking to move from my S2R1000 to something a little more suited to the type of riding I am wanting to do. Any words of advice are appreciated.
