Re: MTS 1100S vs. Sport Classic vs. S2R1000

Honestly, if you don't figure to be taking rough or unimproved roads, or dealing with much city traffic, I don't see that the Multi would be that much more valuable to you than the SC or Monster. The crucial issue would be whether you really intend to ride two-up much. Sure, you COULD ride two up on ...

Re: Too soon? A 1200S for a second bike

Thanks for all the feedback guys. It looks like the local dealer has a couple 620's in stock
The 620s are fantastic bikes; if you get one, I, with only a superbike to my name now, will envy you. Still, there's no need to wonder or second guess yourself. If you can, test ride a 1200, a ...

Re: Total Control

When it comes to manoeuverability, I'd imagine the Multi would be the preferred bike for the class. I had maybe 3000 miles under my belt when I took it - also on a Multi 620 - and it was fine. However, I don't know whether you'd be more comfortable with the way your current bike responds to the ...

Re: WTB: 2006 Multistrada 620 Dark

Bike is being shipped from San Fran.

Quebec has a new mandatory winter tire law that from December 15th to March 15th so even when we get a January thaw we cant ride :(

Why wait for a thaw? Just get some of these:

Re: A Question for the 620 Owners

Unless you plan on spending a lot of time on slab, figuring out what aftermarket windscreen to get may be more trouble than its worth.

Other than the fair-to-middling wind protection, the only thing I can think of that makes the 620 less than ideal for the kind of touring you describe is the ...

Re: No Longer WTB 620 Multistrada (USA)

Anyone know anything about this one in Winchester VA? I know the dealer no longer sells Ducati and the fact that the cycle only has 500 or so miles seems odd.

500 miles isn't so odd, really - may well have been some novice ...

Re: Looking for an UGLY Multi

Reminds me of the story my brother told of his last mishap. Bystanders were a little surprised by his jubilation when he picked his bike up off the street after a spill. Turned out the only part damaged was the panel that was already scuffed. :D

Good luck with your search.

Re: Multistrada In an Urban Environment

I greatly enjoy riding my 620 around NYC, and Manhattan particularly, and have no complaints about clutch operation, though it took a couple of days to get used to. For engine temp, stop and go isn't so bad except in the worst of rush hour when the "go" part is only a couple of seconds at 15mph.

Re: Advice Needed - MTS1100S vs. Monster 696 vs. MTS620

If Ducati wants to hit a home run with the next Multi, they'll blend the HM and MTS (weight and styling of HM + wind protection, luggage and fuel capacity of the MTS) into one model, throw a 1200 desmodue in there and call it a day.
Sounds like someone wants to have his cake and eat it, too ...

Re: Riding position

How about me. I'm 5'7, 130 lbs. I'm shopping used Ducatis and am leaning towards a Multistrada or the Monster. I live close to work ( 7 miles, no highway). My wife would like to ride along sometimes.
I have ridden a 900 monster and I like the low seat height. How high does the Multistrada sit ( I ...

Re: Dealer Demo or Brand New?

Another nice thing about a demo without much more than 600 miles/1000km on it - especially if you don't do your own work or live near your dealer - it should come with that initial service out of the way. It's not a huge deal, but it's worth a few bucks, and I hate having to arrange a trip to the ...

Re: MS 620 ???

I do think that taller people than me (and there are lots) might struggle a bit with the ergos - I have never found the seat uncomfortable but anyone with an inseam of more than about 30" seem to look a bit cramped on a 620 (my opinion only).

:eh:
32-1/2" inseam here, and not cramped. I will ...
