A local LA dealer has a white Multistrada 1100s in stock. It is remaining stock from 2009. I am being offered a price of 13,000 otd. Tax, title, license included. Is this a good deal on this bike? I am brand new to this... I know that the MSRP is 14,995. I have never bought a bike before. What should I be paying?

I personally would be happy with that deal, but would still negotiate some. Depends on how eager the dealer is to move it, and how many other interested buyers might be around. You could try to get him to come down some on the price, maybe offer $1k or so less and see where it goes, or have him throw in some accessories (luggage, heated grips, and the like), but it appears that those a hard to come by these days for the 1100's. You could also negotiate for the first service thrown in.

I JUST TRADED MY O7 STANDARD WITH 30,000 KLM'S ON IT FOR A WHITE O9 S MODEL WITH 690 KLM'S, COMPLETELY COVERED WITH CARBON AND A FULL TERMY SYSTEM WITH ECU. THEY GAVE ME $6500 TRADE IN VALUE AND WANTED ANOTHER $ 5000 . SO I'M PICKING IT UP TOMORROW .

I just bought the last of the dealers 2009 last week. That price seems fair, but as stated above, there is a little more room for the dealer to come down. I would say another $500 or so off would be fair.

Mine was a demo with 600 miles on it. I also traded a 6 month old 696 on it. I wont comment on the price I paid since it was a very creative deal to get out of the Monster. Lets put it this way, my payment only went up $50 per month and I also added some hard bags

While looking at a Demo MS1200 at a local Duc dealer, they mentioned they still had 1 '09 MS1100S left in a crate in the back of the shop, in Red. I offhandedly asked what kind of price they would give on it and the sales guy said they had 1 other '09 they sold the week before for $11,900 (plus tax,tags, etc.).

I am almost wondering if the '09 might not be the better/best deal rather than a new (and yet fully proven) MS1200, especially at 60% the cost?

Thats is why I bought the 2009. I could not pass it up. The 2010 is an awesome bike, but the 2009 is not a POS! Still got a $15K bike for around $10K

when i was at the bike shop today they had a 1200 on the bench, electrical problems etc, mech said don't buy 1st year model. love the power of the 1200 though. they offered me a standard 1200 , my bike and $12000 . saved $ 7000 by purchasing the 09 . probably would of cost $16000 plus trade in for an s model .yup i''m happy happy with my new little air cooled twin .

From my shopping its not a good deal , theres tons of white Multis for sale if ya look around (Ducks are supposed to be red). Dealer tried to sell me one for that yesterday after I rode the 2010 . I'd have o get one for 9k to make me pass on the 2010 after riding , its incredible !!
