Hi,

Newbie here to this site. I'm currently looking for a 1100S.
I've read up on this forum the ins and outs of these bikes so I feel pretty good about getting one.
I had a look at one for sale at a local (non Ducati) dealer a few weeks ago, I noticed that the rear preload adjuster knob seemed to turn with no apparent end. is this normal? Seems to me the adjustment range should only be a few turns?
Do these bikes require premium fuel only?
The test ride went well, but no maintenance records tho, 20,900 kms, these bikes remind me of my old VTR 1000, but with a nicer (kinder) riding position for my aging 54 years.
