Is this bike a good deal if I get it for $9000 or less? Anything specific I should look for? Is she missing anything?
I noticed scratches across both side boxes and the cover on the right side of the bike.

That is not a bad price probably. Can you find out if the 7,500 mile service has been done? Check the dash for the little wrench on the left side. If it is showing, it probably has not been done. Call the Ducati dealer and ask the service manager to look up the VIN for warranty work.
I just bought the same model in black with 11,000 miles for $8,000 in Alexandria, LA, so I spent a day driving over to pick it up and bring home on my trailer. It has a full Termi exhaust and an aftermarket Nelson-Rigg 30L top bag. Everything else is the same. It needed the 7,500 service. Probably more demand for a MTS in Houston vs. Alexandria. The H-D dealer had taken mine in on trade and was originally asking about what your dealer is asking. Maybe stick $8,500 cash in their hand and see how they react? You never know.
Good luck. I love my 1100s. Buy it so you can ride over for the MotoGP race in April.

Seems like a nice bike.. price is alittle high should be closer to 8000 but..
Could not see any signal lights , maybe they are hidden ....
Check on any maintenace records and if the tank has been replaced ..
The hard bags are great to have and the Zard is a bonus as well..
I would put the hand guards back on

Keener,
Good catch on the signals. I did not notice that. I bet the rears are incorporated in the brake light, and it does not have fronts since the bike has bar-end mirrors and not the OEM with the turn signals in them. My personal preference is I want full size turn signals for people to see. I know, I know they don't look for you. But every little bit helps.
Not a deal killer. Ask if they have the OEMs and switch it back. Or maybe you don't care.

I'll do a VIN check with the local Ducati dealer to determine service. If the wrench icon is not showing coudl the service still have not been performed?
I'll drop whatever I plan to offer down $500 if I can't get a confirmation of the 7500 mile service to be safe.
It seems like Houston bike dealers are at least $1000 over what they should be asking for the bikes I'm looking at-Multi, KTM & Tiger. I'll definitely be at the GP. I've been to the one in Laguna twice and Indy once. Can't wait to go to one in my backyard!
Any way to ID a swollen tank or replacement? My bobber's tank has a coating...easy to tell by looking inside. Same with the Multi?
I don't care about turn signals (and pretty sure most of Houston doesn't look at other driver's) but since she had them from the factory she'll need them to pass inspection?

Had a 1000DS for a short time and "threw it down". Ducati Austin found that the tank was not sitting on the rear posts correctly and replaced it under the extended warranty deal with Ducati NA. No cost to me. You can look for the posts near the rear corners of the rider's seat and make sure they line up. Just confirm with the Houston dealer they will take care of a swollen tank for you. They want to do it because it is 4 hours of labor paid by Ducati NA.
