Most of the rumors seem to suggest the new bike will be like the 1200 but MORE. More power, more electronics, etc. They're most likely trying to stave off the new S1000 powered BMW tallarounder that is rumored for release.

If you're looking for a slightly pumped up Hyper, I think you will be disappointed. There are rumors of two sizes, one possibly being based on the 899, but even if that happens, it will likely ride in the same chassis as its 1200+ brother and so not be any smaller or significantly lighter than the 1200+.
