I was able to secure it's initial service and 15,000 mile service history, but I have nothing for the 30k mile interval. I've been quoted $1200 from two different dealers from two different parts of the state (I live in SW Missouri). From the dealer that serviced it, it has had the rear brake inspected and no faults to be found. There appears to be some cosmetic damage to the left side, close to the and on the tank fiberglass. The bike does have crash bars and frame sliders with the left slider showing some wear. It is missing the left fairing pocket cover as well. I have secured pricing to NOT be what is shown as listed.
Since I do not know if the services have been completed at 30k miles, and with the quotes easily being over a grand, I'm looking to be able to see how much of these services I can do myself. I'm not a professional motorcycle/car mechanic, but I've done my share of spark plugs, oil, tires, brakes, filters, etc to be competent and comfortable. I fix office electronics on the day to day, so I do know my way around a screw driver.

So what do you all think? Is this type of servicing something I can do without the dealer, or is it definitely needed for this model engine? Also, are there any Ducatisti in the SWMO/NWAR/NEOK/SEKS area who are handicapable for something like this?
