Re: Looking to buy 04 Multistrada.....

That is a lot of money for that bike. I am thinking about selling mine and in looking at the market in this area I'm gonna be in the $4K range.

Re: WTB: 2012 Multi S model

For me, new. But there are a number of older models that have been traded this year for the current upgrades and that seems to be the going asking price.

Not sure. They are billed as a sport-bike tire so I treat them as such.

Re: Dunlop Q3 tire blowout! $220 shipped front and rear USA

$247 from Motorcycle-Superstores. These are great tires. I don't really keep track of mileage but I think I get about 5K out of the rear. I am more interested in how they stick when I am shoving it through the twisties and these things are nailed to the pavement.

Re: Buying first Multi

Buy the '04. Ride the dog snot out of it. That's a great deal. You may need a tank. You may need valve guides. You WILL have a great time riding it.

Re: What to look for on a used 1100

Depends on how many miles it has. Belt replacement and valve adjustment are the two biggies for me. Not hard to do yourself but it would be good to know when it was done.

Re: Is the classic enough?

The 1200 is whizz bang cool and a great ride. That being said I am not the least bit tempted to buy one. I love my 1000. It does everything I need it to do and I don't have to worry nearly as much about electronic failures.

Re: Good News.. Bad News?

My friend you do have some great roads back there. I was recently in the LaGrande area (no specifics due to the statute of limitations on traffic violations) and might be back there very soon.

With the 1200 the mechanical maintenance is not much of an issue. With a little mechanical know how, a ...

Re: Thinking of '04 Multi-Valve guides-other issues?

I bought my '04 almost two years and 8000 miles ago. I am the third owner. Who knows what was done to it before I got it and all I've done is normal maintenance. The thing runs like a top and I would take it anywhere tomorrow. I'd say tonight but it was a tough day at work that required a little ...

Re: 2004 1000DS

Overpriced in my opinion and what about the valve guides?

The bike is fabulous though. I love mine. It runs like a top no matter how bad I abuse it.
